Clinics
Clinics will be presented on Saturday during the convention
Will Gage - "NWX's club upgrade to Anderson PowerPoles" - 10 AM
During this session many aspects of upgrading your module/layout to
Anderson PowerPoles will be discussed. With various examples and
materials to view, you will be able to see the equipment first hand.
Also, a brief discussion and overview of Houston's Northwest Crossing
Model Railroad Club path of upgrade...all of the pains and rejoicing
that went with the project. Finally the question of "Why should I
Change?" will be answered from both sides of the isle.
Kelly Russell - "How Shippers deal with Adversity" 11 AM
A look at how Shippers deal with all sorts of issues including lack of
available equipment, track outages that include Hurricanes, swollen
rivers and missing bridges, standard rail maintenance, graffiti,
storage, and problems with switching proper cars.
Dewey Jones III - "Creativity within the Standards of T-Trak" 12 PM
A look at ways to create and model unique t-trak modules that will make
your module standout either in its capability or looks.
Tracy Mitchell, MMR - "Tools of the Trade" 1 PM
Tracy is one of the area's most prolific and talented modelers,
but in this clinic he will show you - not how to construct and detail models - but what tools he uses to achieve his success.
The emphasis will be on the proper tool for the proper job.
After seeing this clinic, you too will be able to build that car or structure with the same reckless abandon.
