Opportunity for Volunteer Tour Hosts
The 2009 N Scale Collectors Convention includes several group tours. These tours include:
- Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum in McMinnville , OR
- Oregon Coast Railroad Excursion
- Columbia Gorge/Timberline Lodge Scenic Tour
- Mt. Hood Railroad Excursion
For each of these tours the Convention Committee is looking for volunteers to serve as Tour Hosts.
One Tour Host will be placed on each of the buses that are used as part of the tour to help educate,
entertain and guide the tour participants during the tour event.
The Tour Host will also partner with the Bus Captain to help keep everyone on schedule and on the right bus.
Note: we have sufficient volunteer Bus Captains, - thank you!
The position of Tour Host is complementary to the role of Bus Captain, or could be performed by the same person.
These positions are volunteer positions.
As such, all Tour Hosts must be registered with the Convention and must also sign up individually to participate
in the specific tour for which they are interested in serving as host.
While having knowledge of the local Oregon area is beneficial, it is not necessarily required, as other local members can help with the preparation.
