Registered items will be divided into eight (8) groups with twenty (20) items per table (A through H). All items will be auctioned in the order they are placed, i.e. table “A”, item #14. Table assignments will be on a first-come basis. Sellers can select which tables they want their items placed, however, same or similar items will not be placed on the same table if possible. Item table and item number information will be included on the item entry form. The Live Auction Committee has the final say on all item placements and may make adjustments if necessary.
Public Live Auction item viewing will begin at 3:00 PM. Viewing will end at 5:45 PM. The Live auction will start at 6:00 PM. After two tables (40 items), a brief 10 minute break will occur. After another two tables (40 more items) another 10 minute break will be taken, and after the next two tables (40 more items), we will have our final 10 minute break before the final two tables are auctioned off.
Where possible Live auction items will be placed in front of a stationary camera and the image will be projected onto a wall or screen. This will allow Bidders to see the items more clearly and to reduce the need for runners to carry items to prospective Buyers. This will save time.
Unsold items will be returned to the sellers during scheduled breaks and/or at the conclusion of the live auction only. Sellers may assign a representative to pick-up their unsold items if they are not able to do so themselves. Sellers (not their representative) must sign their copy of the item entry form and relinquish it to the Live Auction staff before their unsold items will be returned to them.
Auction check-out will begin earlier on Friday morning than in the past. Check-out will begin at 8:00 AM an end at 12:00 NOON. All Buyers will be requested to pay first, then we will settle up with the Sellers as usual.
Acceptable payment for Live Auction purchases will be via cash, check or credit card (Visa, MasterCard and Discover). All Sellers will be paid via N-Scale Collector Society check.
